7 WAYS TO APPLY MAKE UP CORRECTLY

Use the following method for makeup basics for everyday use. You can always enhance your daytime makeup for special occasion makeup by choosing dramatic color schemes. In any event, you can create a flawless look with ease and maintain an attractive complexion when applying makeup.

Instructions

1.

Cleanse your face immediately before you apply makeup. Use a mild cleanser designed for facial cleansing. Pat to dry your skin. Never rub or pull your skin.

2

Apply astringent and moisturizer to your skin. Some moisturizers contain sun screen, so if you live in an area where daily sun screen is important, choose a moisturizer with sun screen.

3

Spread concealer to cover under-eye circles, blemishes or lines. Apply the concealer with the ring-finger of your weaker hand for minimum stretching or pulling on your skin.

4

Smudge on a foundation. Dot your checks, forehead and chin with the foundation, and then blend evenly with a makeup sponge. If you don't use makeup sponges, use your hand to blend your foundation.

5

Put on eye makeup in this order: eye shadow first, eyebrow pencil (if necessary), eye liner, and then mascara. When applying your eye shadow, use a three-shade approach with the lighter shades of color near the brow and lid. Use the contrasting color, or darker color, for the crease.

6

Apply blush. Choose a blush color that compliments your eye shadow color, and apply under the cheek bone.

7

Outline lips with a lip pencil and then apply lipstick. Choose a lip pencil and lipstick from the same color scheme as your blush, if possible. Blot your lips using a tissue after you apply the lipstick.

Tips & Warnings

·         Before you begin, pull your hair back if it extends over your face.
·         For oily skin, substitute aloe vera gel for moisturizer.
·         If you use eyebrow pencil, create a natural-looking brow by penciling in tiny hair-like strokes. Avoid using one continuous line to create eyebrows.
·         For a natural astringent, use witch hazel or rose water on your skin.
·         Use a tissue to wipe your mascara wand before you apply it, or you may apply the mascara in unattractive clumps
